Senegalese hake

Distribution of black hakes, Senegalese and Benguela hakes, overlap in Morocco (Manchih et al. 2018). Both species are assessed together as 'Merluccius spp.' by the Fishery Committee for the Eastern Central Atlantic, considering the area between Cape Spartel and southern Senegal. The European hake is assessed separately (FAO 2018).
