Stock structure of American sea scallop in the Bay of Fundy is not fully known. Several Scallop Production Areas (SPAs) have been identified and are assessed as independent units (DFO, 2012). The most relevant are Bay of Fundy  SPA 1A, Bay of Fundy SPA 1B, Bay of Fundy SPA 4, Bay of Fundy SPA 6 and Bay of Fundy SPA 29W (FCI 2013).
