Improvements in Fishing Practices and Fishery Management	Jul 22	Verifiable improvement in policy/management and fishing practices 15 July 2022 — Key findings of the bycatch characterization project are presented and highlight new information on these species which would inform management 6 February 2020 — Increase in 2.3.3 BMT score - increased compliance with TED regulations, TED effectiveness has consistently remained high and above legal requirements. 31 December 2018 — Review of TED effectiveness between 2014 and 2018 highlight that TED have increased in effectiveness in recent years till Dec 2018. 13 July 2018 — Report til July 2018 show compliance with TED and high compliance rate of 97% 1 December 2017 — Gear checks were done at participants' docks focused primarily on TEDs and BRDs. There was overall high compliance. TED Checks increased from 18 in 2016 to 56 in 2017. 1 December 2017 — NOAA released TED inspection and enforcement data, and effectiveness remains high. 8 August 2017 — Evaluation report 2017 available highlight levels of compliance, non-compliance (minor and major) and actions to address these issues 13 July 2016 — Evaluation report 2016 available - with the majority of vessels being in full compliance. 1 May 2014 — Captains and crew of 12 vessels in the Philly Seafood supply chain completed the Texas Sea Grant TED training program 1 April 2014 — Gulf of Mexico shrimp fleet is in compliance with the fleetwide sea turtle capture rate requirements . 30 September 2012 — NOAA Fisheries posted an updated TED inspection and compliance report indicating that fleet-wide compliance with federal TED regulations during October 2011–September 2012 was 75 percent (an increase from the 66-percent compliance rate during May–November 2011) - NOAA TED Inspection and Compliance (Oct 1, 2011- Sept 30, 2012) 1 January 2010 — Several vessels have transitioned to lighter trawl doors. Supplier implementing policies to verify TED use and capture data on the types of BRDs being used.
