3. FIP Implementation	Mar 14	FIP activities undertaken 1 March 2014 — CTMFM announces the next CTMFM’s XVII Scientific Symposium which will take place next November having as central theme "Recovering fisheries. Population, environmental and administrative aspects”. 1 March 2014 — The CTMFM website was updated to include 2013 full fisheries statistics in the area of Common Fishing Zone (ZCPAU) 1 July 2013 — Letter to CTMFM requesting that advances in the management plan be made publicly available. 1 June 2012 — Transparency of fisheries statistics improved in early 2011. However, data needs to be updated. 1 October 2011 — Transparency of fisheries science is also starting to improve as a joint stock assessment by Argentine and Uruguayan researchers was made public for the first time in the history of this fishery. 1 July 2011 — CTMFM-issued Resolution 6/11 establishes a winter juveniles protection zone, bringing the total to four seasonal protection zones covering the entire year. 1 July 2011 — CTMFM-issued Resolution 7/11 defines a deadline to approve a Management Plan, including target and limit reference points and terms to achieve the management objectives.
4. Improvements in Fishing Practices and Fishery Management	Sep 13	Verifiable improvement in policy/management and fishing practices 14 September 2013 — Temporal closed areas implemented since July 2013 by official resolutions 1 November 2011 — A joint research campaign was carried out by INIDEP (Argentina) and DINARA (Uruguay) after almost 4 years of inactivity in this area 1 November 2011 — On-board video cameras are being installed to monitor gear use and discard practices in Argentina 15 July 2011 — Rule 7/2011 curtailed the TAC by 45% to be in line with scientific advice and established an annual review for the TAC.
