The FIP has hired a consultant to develop a new methodology for estimating total landings in the industrial and artisanal titi shrimp fisheries; the deliverables of the project include: the development of a sampling strategy, landing estimator, computational tools, training workshops, and a retroactive analysis of landings from 2005 to 2023, with additional export data provided to IPIAP for further analysis.

The FIP has undergone a review of data collection systems; a total of 11 data collection systems were identified, which monitor, track and control the titi shrimp fishery. Of them, 10 are officially established.

A strategy was developed for the implementation of the participatory monitoring component of the CNP Responsible Fishing Program (PPR); the proposal objectives include contributing to the spatial and temporal coverage of fishery monitoring, the training of fishers and the standardization and improvement of logbook records.

The FIP designed a 12-hour training program for fleet owners and crew members, aligned with the Responsible Fishing program of the CNP, covering topics such as responsible fishing practices, species identification, fishery monitoring, and marine ecology. 

The FIP has developed its own website to communicate technical and scientific progress

A cooperation agreement has been signed between IPIAP and CNP to implement FIP progress, focusing on strengthening fishery monitoring, forming a technical team, and promoting mutual scientific and technological research.

Increase to PI score 3.1.2; Ministerial Agreement No. MPCEIP-SRP-2024-0193-A establishes the "Dialogue Table of the Titi Shrimp Fishery" to facilitate consultation and participatory governance between public and private sectors on the sustainable management of the resource. The table includes representatives from various public and private sectors, and may create working groups focused on implementing the National Action Plan and addressing complex issues within the fishery.

Increase to PI 3.2.4; A national action plan for the titi shrimp fishery has been published. There is a regular external evaluation framework in place for the fishery.

Increase to PI 3.1.3; A national action plan for the titi shrimp fishery has been published. Long-term objectives and a legal framework are in place for the fishery.
