FIP Implementation	Nov 23	FIP activities undertaken 30 November 2023 — The FIP has been running Skipper training across the vessels within the fleet to ensure that the Captains are aware of their responsibilities regarding FAD best practices, handling and release techniques of non-target bycatch, and ETP species identification. 1 November 2023 — This FIP has produced a position statement ahead of the 2023 WCPFC Annual Meeting. 25 May 2023 — The FIP has implemented a waste management policy in addition to producing a questionnaire for FIP participants to learn more about the current waste management practices in place onboard. 1 May 2023 — The FIP completed an audit of the Proactive Vessel Register (PVR) which demonstrated that all the FIP vessels are meeting the necessary requirements including: a FAD management policy, a shark finning policy, an observer program and no vessels are listed on any IUU vessel registers. 1 November 2022 — The FIP has produced a position statement ahead of the WCPFC 2022 annual meeting. 1 May 2022 — The FIP has written an advocacy letter to the MoF to request further action with regards to limit reference points, target reference points, and improved catch data records being implemented across the WCPFC. 29 November 2021 — WCPFC position statement produced for the WCPFC 2021 annual meeting, provided by the FIP 1 March 2021 — FIP has sent an observer data request for the one vessel in the FIP flagged to Kiribat 1 November 2020 — Literature review on impacts of FADs completed, closing out the Task 2.5a 1 November 2020 — FIP positions statements sent to WCPFC on HCR (see attached)
4. Improvements in Fishing Practices and Fishery Management	May 21	Verifiable improvement in policy/management and fishing practices 26 May 2021 — Increase in PI 2.3.2; With observer data being provided, it is clear that ETP species are discarded in the fishery. 26 May 2021 — Increase in PI 2.2.2; it's been established there are no 'main' secondary species caught in the fishery- no need for there to be a partial strategy/measures in place in the UoA 26 May 2021 — Increase in PI 2.2.3; no main secondary species were identified 1 May 2021 — The fishery is compliant with ISSF Conservation Measure 3.7, and the FAD policy has been published
