Comments:

The FIP previously went inactive on Fishery Progress for missing two consecutive reports, at which time the rating in Fish Source was removed but the FIP was kept active. The FIP's last stage 4 result is now over 36 months old. The FIP is now inactive.

(Harvest strategy) - The clam fishery has a limited number of permits and fishing areas, with maximum depths of 30 meters as described in the National Fisheries Charter (CNP) 2017. 1 May 2018 — In collaboration with fishermen, INAPESCA and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), presented the results of the subtidal and fishery monitoring to fill the information gaps of population dynamics (natural mortality, growth and reproductive cycle) and a stock assessment was carried out.
