3. FIP Implementation	Jan 14	FIP activities undertaken 1 January 2014 — CeDePesca had a meeting with the Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquaculture having an exchange of opinions on the improvement of the objective stock reference point, and the needed for the use of bycatch devices and video cameras. 1 January 2014 — CeDePesca attended CONADIBIO’s workshop and encouraged inclusion of EBFM into its working program for 2014–2020. 1 December 2013 — CeDePesca sent a letter to the Undersecretary of Fisheries and Aquacuture to direct his attention toward how the video camera system is used in other fisheries for effective controls 1 April 2013 — A workshop to promote adoption of the ERAEF methodology among researchers was conducted at INIDEP 1 February 2010 — CeDePesca has worked together with the National General Auditing office (AGN) on the triennial audit of the fisheries sector.
4. Improvements in Fishing Practices and Fishery Management	Sep 14	Verifiable improvement in policy/management and fishing practices 1 September 2014 — Federal Fisheries Council modified the boundaries of the closed area and added a new restriction for freezer vessels 5 nm west of the entire closed area. 1 December 2013 — The CFP adopted a CMP for 2014 slighty below the value suggested by INIDEP 1 January 2010 — In 2011, 2012, and 2013, the CFP adopted the maximum value of the acceptable range advised by INIDEP. 1 January 2010 — Legal catch certifícate issued 1 January 2010 — AC follows INIDEP maximum Recommendation. The conditions for such an increase of TAC (stopping underreporting and minimizing discards) are not being met. After an assessment method review, we will know how the TAC relates to scientific advice for 2011.
