FIP Implementation	Jul 23	FIP activities undertaken 27 July 2023 — The FIP attended the red shrimp follow-up commission meeting and participated in discussions surrounding landings and foreign trade statistics, the biological situation of the prawn fishery and hake bycatch within the fishery. 11 May 2023 — CeDePesca has signed an agreement with INIDEP in an effort to collaborate on monitoring tasks within INIDEP's onboard observer program. 1 December 2022 — An observer data report has been published for the 2022 onboard observer season 29 August 2022 — The FIP participated in the 'Work Commission to Strengthen Bycatch Reduction Measures in Fisheries' workshop; discussions focused on coordinating actions to advance projects that improve selectivity. 4. Improvements in Fishing Practices and Fishery Management	Nov 22	Verifiable improvement in policy/management and fishing practices 30 November 2022 — Federal Fisheries Council issued Resolution No. 19/2022 which establishes that sharks caught as bycatch (other than Galeorhinus galeus, Mustelus schmitti, Squatina spp., Squalus spp. and Schroederichthys bivius) shall be returned to the sea promptly and in the least traumatic way possible, in order to maximize their survival. 9 June 2022 — Federal Fisheries Council issued Resolution No. 9/2022; the resolution establishes several new and updated management measures for the fishery 9 June 2022 — The Federal Fisheries Council have published Resolution 24.922 which includes new conservation measures including - that the red shrimp fishery will be developed through a dynamic system of opening and closing areas and/or sub-areas. 26 May 2022 — INIDEP has defined an abundance point 40% below the average of last 5 year as one that must trigger effort reduction measures which FFC are considering in management measures 11 January 2021 — Increase in MSC PI score 2.1.2 - Management strategy for primary species now in place 1 June 2019 — Increase in MSC P2 Scores - specifically, PIs 2.2.3, 2.3.3., 2.5.2 and 2.5.3 17 May 2018 — The Federal Fisheries Council (CFP) approved admin measures for the integration of the Management Plan into Resolution 7/18 1 March 2017 — Independent survey to be conducted by INIDEP with participation of the private sector - approved by Federal Fisheries Council.
