There is scarce information regarding the population structure of Tusk from North Atlantic. According with a study from 2009, there is a weak, but significant genetic subdivision in the North Atlantic distribution range (Knutsen et al. 2009). Other methods that might provide more information about population structure have not been applied to this species.
