SPECIES NAME(s)

Witch flounder

Witch flounder (Glyptocephalus cynoglossus), also known as Grey sole, rangers from Newfoundland to North Carolina inhabiting deeper areas of the shelf in southern regions but inhabiting more shallow areas further north along the coast. The stock structure is uncertain for this species and the US assesses the stock as one unit (NEFSC 2017)(NOAA-NMFS 2005).
