The stock structure of Aesop shrimp is not known. Eastern and Western Assessment Zones (EAZ and WAZ) were adopted in 2011 and in 2013/2014 new Shrimp Fishing Areas (SFA) were established (and respective subdivisions) to deal with the different jurisdictions in the area (Nunavut, Nunavik and Davis Strait). This profile regards the assessment of Aesop (striped) shrimp in WAZ and the SFAs Nunavut and Davis Strait (DFO 2018)(DFO 2019).
